How it works?

  Purchases

  In shops. Using QR Code or NFC.

  1. The QR Code is shown on the payment terminal screen;

  2. Point your camera at the QR Code and, if the payment is authorised, the terminal prints a payment receipt.

  3. To pay with NFC, tap your phone on the payment terminal.

  In online stores (using your mobile number)

  1. Select MB WAY as the payment option.
  2. Enter your mobile number.
  3. Accept the request on your app.

  Transfers

  1. On the MB WAY App, select transfers;

  2. Enter the recipient’s mobile number, select the card you want to use and the amount to send;

  3. Confirm the transaction with your MB WAY PIN.

  Both people must be signed up to MB WAY. If the recipient is not, they receive a pending transfer notification and an invitation to sign up.

  Withdrawals

  1. Select the card and the withdrawal amount;

  2. Confirm the transaction with your MB WAY PIN;

  3. MB WAY generates a 10 digit code that lets you withdraw cash at any Multibanco ATM.
