With this service, you can safely use your real card details (debit, credit or prepaid) when paying online.When you shop on a website displaying the Visa Secure symbol, you receive a notification on your mobile at checkout to approve the purchase. Simply tap and approve in the novobanco App.

Sign up is done per card and is linked to the mobile number you provide at the time of sign up.If you prefer, you can use a different mobile number for each card. If you change your mobile number, you must update it at a Branch or in novobanco Online.
* Available for customers who are signed up and have additional security active. Valid for novobanco debit, credit or prepaid cards.
Do you need help?
To make online purchases on secure websites or in remote card transactions with secure merchants, signing up to this service is required to increase transaction security.
It adds an extra step that validates the payment through an authentication request. This helps confirm the transaction is being made by the legitimate cardholder.
You can sign up at a Branch, in the App, or in novobanco Online if you are signed up and have Additional Security active. If you need support, contact the Direct Line.
All novobanco credit and prepaid cards, and debit cards except Instant Debit Card.
No. 3D Secure sign up is done per card. You can and should link all your cards, even if you do not currently use them for online purchases.
Yes. The service is free and adds protection in case your card details are compromised and someone attempts to use them fraudulently.
To benefit from this added security, customers must sign up all their cards - debit, credit, or prepaid - in 3D Secure.
Your card details are not shared with merchants beyond what is necessary to process the payment.
No. For each purchase on secure merchant websites, you will receive a notification in the novobanco App.

You must update the number associated with your 3D Secure sign up. Updating your mobile number on file does not automatically update it in 3D Secure. Update it at a Branch or in novobanco Online.
