Interest paymentInterest is paid at the end of the term, credited to the associated current account.
Redemption at maturityAt maturity, if the customer does not wish to renew, the current account will be credited with the principal and interest.
Early withdrawal / redemption

  • Partial or total early withdrawals are allowed at any time

  • Early withdrawals imply a full penalty of accrued and unpaid interest on the withdrawn amount

  • No interest will be calculated or paid on the withdrawn amount from: 

  • the deposit start date, or

  • the last interest payment date, where applicable

Taxation

  • Interest earned is subject to IRS withholding tax at the rate in force at maturity

  • Currently, interest on retiree savings accounts is subject to withholding tax at a 28% flat rate

  • Optional aggregation for IRS purposes is available, which may imply application of final tax rates and, where applicable, an additional solidarity tax

  • Stamp Duty exemption applies to free transfers (inter vivos or mortis causa) in favour of a spouse, civil partner, descendants and ascendants
