Glossary – List of the Most Representative Services
Decree-Law No. 107/2017 of 30 August, which transposed Directive 2014/92/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 into Portuguese law, introduced measures intended to ensure greater transparency and comparability of the fees charged by payment service providers in relation to payment accounts.
To make this comparison easier, information relating to fees associated with payment accounts must use standardised terminology for the most representative services in Portugal. These are considered to be the services most commonly used by consumers in connection with their payment account and those that generate the highest costs for consumers.
